ARMENIA INTENDS TO FIND ITS LEVEL IN FRANCIPHONIE REGION: RUSTAMYAN

The 23rd European regional session of Parliamentary Assembly of
Francophonie ended today in Yerevan.
After attending the Armenian educational institutions, participants
said at the press conference, that were impressed by the level of
schoolchildren and students' knowledge of French. Representative from
France Jean-Paul Vahle confessed that would be happy if the Belgian
students speak their second language, as Armenians speak French.
Head of Armenian delegation to PA Francophonie Armen Rustamyan stated
that 23rd session of PA Francophonie in Yerevan is a great political
event for Armenia. "We should realize the prospects a membership to
this organization offers," he noted, adding that Armenia intends to
integrate thoroughly to find its level in the region of Francophonie.
He also made a point of the adoption of experience for Armenian
science and educational systems' development.
Thereafter, the participants attended the Genocide museum and laid a
wreath to the Genocide memorial. Also they are to meet with Catholicos
of All Armenians Karekin II in Etchmiadzin and visit the ancient
Armenian churches, including the pagan temple of Garni.
