It is a pity that Armenian National Congress (ANC) does not speak of
anything else except for change of power and hesitate to touch upon
the related problems. It seems they can solve all current problems
by changing the power, NKR Former Foreign Minister Arman Melikyan
told journalists on Thursday.
Noting that ANC should propose alternative programs, Melikyan expressed
confidence that it is a part of opposition's duties. "ANC should be
able to raise the issues of public concern, such as Karabakh conflict,
Armenia-Turkey reconciliation. They should not give the flak only,
but propose alternatives," he stated, adding that major part of
society has expectations from ANC that were not met yet.
ANC representative Hovhannes Hovhannisyan said at the press conference,
that authorities failed to make any positive steps due to lack of
political potential. "In this case, change of power is the only way
out, as this country cannot tackle the problems having such a National
Assembly or Foreign Ministry," oppositionist emphasized, noting that
there are some people in leadership "whose hands are not in blood"
and ANC does not consider them enemies.
