IMPLEMENTATION OF CULTURAL PROGRAM BETWEEN ARMENIAN CULTURE MINISTRY AND IRANIAN CULTURE AND ISLAMIC RELATIONS ORGANIZATION RUNNING

YEREVAN, MAY 6, ARMENPRESS: The practical program of "2010-2012
Cultural Cooperation between the Armenian Culture Ministry and
Iranian Culture and Islamic Relations Organization is currently in a
working stage. It has been signed February 9-11, 2010 during a visit
to Armenia paid by the Iranian delegation under the head of Mehdi
Mostafa, Iranian President's consultant, chairman of the Iranian
Culture and Islamic Relations Organization.
"The two departments have already been formed; they will mainly focus
on the spheres of film production, of restoration and protection of
historical-cultural monuments. Cultural exchanges, cultural days,
weeks, festivals and exhibitions will be held within the frameworks
of the program," G. Durgaryan, PR Manager of the Armenian Culture
Ministry, said. According to her, the process is still in a
specification process.
Cultural relations have been officially established between Armenia
and Iran by the agreement of "Cooperation between the governments of
the Republic of Armenia and Islamic Republic of Iran in the spheres
of culture, science, education, sport, tourism and mass media" signed
in 1994.
