Action of solidarity in front of NKR Representation in Yerevan
16:27 / 05/08/2010On May 8, representatives of the Social-Democratic
Party Hnchakyan held an action of solidarity in front of the
Representation of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR) in Yerevan.
The Hnchakyan party members handed a congratulatory message over to
NKR Representative Karlen Avetisyan on occasion of the 18th
anniversary of liberation of Shushi.
Press Secretary of the party Narek Galstyan, party member Vardan
Khachatryan and Chaifman Gevorg Perkuperkyan made speeches.
Talking to the participants in the action, Karlen Avetisyan pointed
out that Nagorno-Karabakh cannot ever be part of Azerbaijan.
`Azerbaijan cannot capture Nagorno-Karabakh by force either, no matter
how much they speak about it. If Azerbaijan were ready, they would not
hesitate a moment,' he said.
According to him, the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict will not be resolved
until Azerbaijan give up its aggressive policy. `For long-lasting
peace we can and must agree to compromise. But it must be a worthy
compromise, not `everything to Azerbaijan.' We too have problems,
refugees and occupied territories. They are problems to be resolved by
means of compromise,' the NKR Representative said.
