Russia can play a most active role both in the settlement of the
Karabakh conflict and the normalization of Armenian-Turkish relations,
Turkish Ambassador to Russia Halil Akinci told Interfax new agency. "We
believe that Russia as a regional player may make its contribution
to solution of the Karabakh problem. After all, Russia is the only
regional country out of the three Co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group,"
the ambassador said.
He stressed that this issue will be discussed during the visit of
Russian President Dmitry Medvedev to Ankara on May 11.
