NON-OFFICIAL SUMMIT OF THE HEADS OF THE CSTO AND CIS COUNTRIES TAKES PLACE

Non-official Summit of the heads of the CSTO and CIS countries
took place in Moscow May 8. Delegation headed by the Armenian
President Serzh Sargsyan also participated in the summit. During the
gatherings the Russian side presented in details the provisions of the
Russian-American treaty signed in Prague on nuclear weapons. Besides,
issues on the formation and organization of collective security
forces within the framework of the CSTO have been discussed. The two
gatherings passed in ceremonial atmosphere as all the participants
highly valued the victory of the Soviet Union in the Great Patriotic
War.
