Azerbaijan and Turkey must sign an agreement on Nagorno-Karabakh
conflict, Azerbaijani MP Zahid Oruj said.
The new agreement will not be a repetition of the Treaty of Kars. But
the need for such a document is that Turkey, in fact, is already
playing an active role in the Nagorno-Karabakh issue, MP said at the
regular plenary session of the Azerbaijani Parliament.
"If Armenia and Russia signed various agreements, including military
cooperation, then Azerbaijan has the full right to establish
appropriate relations with Turkey," Oruj said.
He said that such a document can be signed during Turkish Prime
Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan's upcoming visit to Azerbaijan May 13-16.
This agreement will allow acting not only on the basis of the spiritual
and political fraternity, but on a legal basis.
