It's 90 years since Moscow-Ankara diplomatic relations were
established, the architects being Lenin and Ataturk in 1920. Turkey
labeled Russian President Dmitry Medvedev's Turkey visit Wednesday
as historical for a great number of deals on trade, energy,
agriculture, transport, culture, etc. were signed. According to Zaman,
Russian-Turkish relations have stepped a new stage.

"Karabakh issue, Turkey shows great interest in, was discussed during
the talks. Ankara once again presented the Russian side its position
over the issue, signifying the establishment of peace in the Caucasus.

Medvedev reaffirmed they back Yerevan-Ankara normalization process. As
perceived, to move the normalization process forward, there is a
need for pushing "mute diplomacy" over Karabakh issue. Sides and
interested capitals realize this. The statements made come to prove
    this," Zaman writes.

By the way, Abdullah Gul showed Russia's Medvedev the painting by
the Armenian painter Hovhannes Aivazovsky as he hosted his Russian
    counterpart at his residence.
