Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that Russia and Azerbaijan
will sign an agreement on state borders this year.
"Recently an agreement in principle was reached with respect to
demarcation of borders with Azerbaijan. Relevant agreement should be
signed by the end of this year," Lavrov said.
According to the Minister, similar work is near completion with
Abkhazia and South Ossetia. He added that Russia signed similar
agreements on demarcation of borders with Norway, Finland, Poland,
China, Mongolia and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.
"However, the negotiation process with such neighbors, as Georgia,
Estonia and Japan, is peculiar," the Minister said, adding that
nevertheless "we are working with these countries as well," RBK
reported.
