YEREVAN, MAY 14, ARMENPRESS: Armenian Foreign Minister Edward
Nalbandyan received today Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for
European and Eurasian Affairs Tina Kaidanow. Foreign Ministry's press
and information department told Armenpress that welcoming the guest
the minister said that Armenia highlights the deepening of friendly
partnership and consolidation of cooperation with the United States,
pointing out that the April visit of the Armenian President Serzh
Sargsyan to Washington D.C. and meeting with the US President Barack
Obama gave new impetus to the development of bilateral relations.
Minister Nalbandyan and Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Kaidanow
had a detailed conversation over the prospects for further expansion
of the Armenian-American relations.
Tina Kaidanow noted that Armenia is an important partner for the United
States, and the US Administration expects continuation of partnership
with Armenia for promotion of establishment of stability in the region,
economic development, implementation of reforms.
The interlocutors referred to the process of normalization of the
Armenian-Turkish relations.
Edward Nalbandyan and Tina Kaidanow exchanged thoughts over the peace
talks over the NK conflict settlement.
