TURKISH RALLY IN NEW YORK BANNED

    Panorama.am
    18/05/2010

America inhabited Turks' rally scheduled on May 23 has been messed up
since New York Police banned the rally, CNN reported. The reason of
banning the rally is "Israel's National Day" to be held the same day.

Turkish-American Unions Federation (TADF) organizes such rallies
in the third week of May. It was supposed the sportsmen of Turkish
National football team should also attend the rally.

It's worth reminding that the event has a history back 29 years. In
1981 Turks resumed rallies against ASALA (Armenian Secret Army for
the Liberation of Armenia). Within a time those rallies changed their
basic notion since now they mark Turkey's Day in USA.
