CZECH PRIME MINISTER PAYS TRIBUTE TO THE MEMORY OF THE VICTIMS OF THE ARMENIAN GENOCIDE

YEREVAN, MAY 18, ARMENPRESS: Czech Prime Minister Jan Fischer who
is in Yerevan on a two-day official visit accompanied by the deputy
foreign minister Karine Ghazinyan visited today Tsitsernakaberd and
put flowers and a wreath to the memorial of the victims of the 1915
Armenian Genocide committed by the Ottoman Turkey.
Accompanied with the Director of the Armenian Genocide museum-institute
Hayk Demoyan Czech prime minister toured in the museum, got acquainted
with the Genocide history, the presented materials. In his note in
the Commemoration Book the Czech top guest wrote that he is "impressed
with the presented materials" and the Czech people will never forget
what happened in 1915.
The Czech prime minister planted a symbolizing tree in the Memory
Alley.
