Rabiyyat Aslanova The chairman of the MM parliamentary committee will
speak with an initiative to adopt a law on the status of the occupied
lands of Azerbaijan.
'In the nearest future I will propose an initiative about preparation
of the law on the status of the occupied lands of Azerbaijan because
time should not be wasted in this issue', said Rabiyyat Aslanova,
chairman of the Milli Majlis Committee on Human Rights.
He said an immediate adoption of such a law to avert illegal actions
of the separatist regime in Karabakh.
'We should demonstrate a definite position in this issue and define
the status of the occupied lands of the country by means of this law',
said Aslanova. She said unless a part of the Azerbaijani lands are
under occupation, no separatist regime has a right to hold elections
or create any organizations.
As for the proposed 'elections' of the separatist regime, the chairman
of the parliamentary committee noted that no international organization
or European country recognize them.
Aslanova added that within the framework of the OSCE event held
recently in Almaty the Armenian delegation invited the representatives
of different countries for these 'elections'.
'But we have appealed to the event participants with the issue of
whether it is correct for a jural state, respecting the supremacy of
laws to become a participant of such illegal actions of the separatist
regime', the deputy noted.
