YEREVAN, MAY 21, ARMENPRESS: Catholicos of All Armenians His Holiness
Karekin II received May 20 the French Minister of Economic Recovery
Plan Mr. Patrick Devedjian.
Holy See press service told "Armenpress" that His Holiness welcomed the
guest and said: 'It is gratifying for us to see the successful sons
of our nation. We are proud that the part of the Armenian nation,
which found shelter in the hospitable land of France after the
emigration, managed to recover, overcome the difficulties and return
to the peaceful creative work and contribute to the prosperity of
the country. You are one of them and you have a great contribution
to the strengthening and deepening of the kind and warm relations
between the two states. I give my blessings to you.'
Mr. Patrick Devedjian expressed his gratitude to His Holiness and
said that each visit to the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin is 'a
unique phenomenon of backing to the roots and springs'. 'This is a
very important condition for a human being in the current course of
our changing life,' Patrick Devedjian said.
