Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan received today Governor of Russian
province of Orenburg Alexei Chernishev.
Armenian presidential press service told Armenpress that the president
of the republic recalled his visit to Orenburg in August 2009 with
great warmth.
Serzh Sargsyan once again expressed gratitude for the warm attitude
displayed toward our compatriots in Orenburg and noted, "The culture
of contacts between nations in the province of Oenburg can serve a
worthy example."
Alexei Cherneshev expressed his gratification for visiting Armenia
and for the opportunity of meeting with the Armenian President. He
said that quite an impressive delegation has arrived in Armenia with
him, comprised of head-specialists of different spheres. A bilateral
agreement on cooperation will be signed May 21 aimed to specify
the general directions of the cooperation and to establish mutually
beneficial ties.
The parties noted that the allied relations between Armenia and Russia,
the high-level active dialogue, the friendship of many centuries and
mutual sympathy are good stimuli for deepening the cooperation in
the inter-province area and for elevating it to a new level.
According to Armenian President S. Sargsyan, the high-level political
relations must be strengthened by mutually profitable economic ties
and programs.
