Entangled Parallels, a film project by Armenian film director Hovhannes
Galstyan, received a warm welcomes by different nationalities at the
Cannes Film Market lasting from May 12-23.
In a press conference today Galstyan also said that he received a
proposal by a Turkish actress in Cannes who said she would like to
play in that film.
Interestingly, Entangled Parallels, received invitations to 5 film
festivals.
"I had [only] 25 per cent of the funding for my film before
participating in the Cannes Film Market. I received 3 offers during
the Market days," said he, adding that 2 of the proposals have already
been confirmed.
So, the shooting of Gabriel and Mary, another film by Hovhannisyan
about inseparable marital ties, will be funded by Norway (25%) and
Czech Republic (15%), but the film will be shot in Norway.
"I hope we will find the rest of money in Moscow," said Galstyan,
adding that the shooting of Gabriel and Mary will start in 2011 and
will end in 2012.
