It should be welcomed that in Astrakhan Armenian, Russian and
Azerbaijani Presidents made a joint statement on exchange of captives
and return of bodies. The statement is of humanitarian nature,
though, here I don't see any advance of political settlement,
Armenian National Assembly ARF Dashnaktsutyun MP Vahan Hovhannisyan
told reporters today.
"Nagorno-Karabakh should be a participating side, otherwise we will
have no basis for the implementation of the statement," he said.
As regards the upcoming Astana meeting, he said, it's early to make
any forecasts yet. Answering the question whether the sides will be
presented a road map for the Nagorno-Karabakh settlement, ARF MP said
this should not be ruled out.
