Anar Hajiyev Sergeant of the Azerbaijani Army Anar Khanbaba Hajiyev,
who was captured by the Armenian armed forces, sent a letter to
his family.
Hajiyev's mother Naila Mammadova said representatives of the
International Committee of the Red Cross gave her letter on Monday.
Naila Mammadova said his son asked her not to worry about him and he
was feeling well. She said several lines in the letter were removed.
According to Mammadova, ICRC officials said Anar had no health
problems.
ICRC representatives visited Anar Hajiyev on October 27.
Anar Khanbaba Hajiyev, 20 called up by the Goranboy region's military
commissariat, was captured by the Armenian armed forces on May 10,
2009 in Fuzuli region of Azerbaijan.
Today return of eight prisoners of war, six civilians and bodies of
three killed soldiers is on agenda between Azerbaijan and Armenia.
On October 27, President Dmitriy Medvedev of Russia, President Ilham
Aliyev of Azerbaijan and President Sezh Sargsyan of Armenia held a
tripartite meeting in Astrakhan, Russia and signed joint Declaration,
which described exchanging prisoners of war and returning bodies.
