FRENCH PRESIDENT TO VISIT AZERBAIJAN

Nicolas Sarkozy Nicolas Sarkozy is to pay his first visit Baku to
discuss France's role in helping to solve the Armenian-Azerbaijani
conflict over Karabakh. The date of the visit is being discussed,
Azerbaijan's ambassador to France, Elchin Amirbayov, told ANS Press
on Saturday.
"Bilateral talks during the trip will cover France's role in the
settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and the work of the French
co-chairman, Bernard Fassier," Amirbayov said.
France, together with Russia and the USA, co-chairs the OSCE's Minsk
Group which is mediating a solution to the Karabakh conflict.
