ARMENIAN NATIONAL CANDIDATE WINS MAYORAL ELECTIONS IN KHARKOV, EXIT-POLL

A Ukrainian-Armenian candidate is winning mayoral election in Kharkov,
Ukraine, an exit poll has revealed.
According to the poll conducted by GFK, Arsen Avakov has won 34.7
per cent of the votes, while his rival Gennady Kernes has received
30.9 per cent of the ballots.
Alla Aleksandrovskaya, according to the poll, has won 15.4 per cent
of the votes. The rest of the candidates have had only 3 per cent each.
Another poll by Savik Shuster studio has also found Mr Avakov as the
winner of the voting.
According to local Ukrainskaya Pravda daily, Kernes tries to exert
pressure on Shuster so that it does not publish the results of
the poll.
In an interview with GFK a reporter of ICTV TV channel has said that
Mr Avakov and Mr Kernes have received about 32 percent of votes each.
