PIRUZ SARGSYAN ASPIRED TO OBSERVER STATUS IN EUROPEAN OMBUDSMAN OFFICE

Chairman of the Association of Russian Banks Garegin Tosunyan paid
a visit to Armenia to familiarize himself with the activity of the
financial ombudsman's office in August 2010.
"A month later we learned that a similar office was established
Russia," Armenian financial ombudsman Piruz Sargsyan said.
Besides, she noted that the other CIS member countries also show
interest in the activity of the Armenian financial ombudsman's office.
As to international cooperation, Sargsyan said that the office is
collaborating with UK, France and Netherlands.
"Armenia joined the European network of financial arbitrators and
ombudsmen in 2009 and attended a FIN-NET meeting in Prague," she said.
An application for observer status will be soon sent to the office
of the European ombudsman.
