President Serzh Sargsyan left for a working visit to Tavush marz
today. The President visited the fully reconstructed and modernized
Ayrum-Jiliza checkpoint and the administrative building of the Ayrum
station.
President Sargsyan familiarized himself with the working conditions in
the new customs house, which allow providing services corresponding
to international standards and make the customs administration more
effective.
At Ayrum station the Director General of the "South Caucasus Railway"
Shevket Sheydulin briefed President Sargsyan about the work in the
direction of reconstruction of the railway and improvement of the
quality of transport services.
Later on President Sargsyan visited Bagratashen checkpoint, where he
convened consultations, featuring Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of
Territorial Administration Armen Gevorgyan, Head of the State Income
Committee Gagik Khachatryan, Minister of Transport and Communication
Manuk Vardanyan, other officials.
