RAFFI HOVANNISIAN TO KEYNOTE AGBU EVENT

The AGBU Asbeds will present an evening with Armenian Parliamentarian
Raffi Hovannisian, as part of the group's annual program entitled
"An Evening with a Statesman."
The first Foreign Minister of the Republic of Armenia, Hovannissian,
will be making a special appearance at the AGBU Manoogian-Demirdjian
School on November 4 at 8 p.m. at the invitation of the AGBU Asbeds.
The presentation is entitled "Armenia, Between East and West: The
Challenges of Democracy, Sovereignty and National Interest."
A question and answer session will follow the presentation. Admission
is free and a reception will follow the event.
Hovanissian is a graduate of UCLA, Georgetown University Law Center,
and the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University.
Among his many distinctions, Hovannisian is the founder and leader
of the Heritage political party in Armenia, founder of the Armenian
Bar Association and the founding director of the Armenian Center for
National and International studies in Yerevan.
Sponsors of the AGBU Asbeds Circle will receive an autographed copy
of Garin Hovannisian's (Raffi's son's) new book titled "Family
