DATA FROM YEREVAN STATE UNIVERSITY ADVANCE KNOWLEDGE IN MOLECULAR CRYSTALS RESEARCH
Technology Business Journal

"New method of restoring the phase shift of the light passing through
the nematic liquid crystal (NLC) has been developed," scientists
writing in the journal Molecular Crystals and Liquid Crystals report.
"Hilbert transformation supported by Unwrap function of Matlab
software is proposed to be used for recovering phase shift from
experimentally obtained data of light intensity vs. applied voltage,"
wrote V.K. Abrahamyan and colleagues, Yerevan State University.
The researchers concluded: "The method makes the phase shift dependence
less sensitive to measurement noises."
Abrahamyan and colleagues published their study in Molecular Crystals
and Liquid Crystals (Restoration of Electro-Optically Induced Phase
Shift of Light Passed Through the Liquid Crystal. Molecular Crystals
and Liquid Crystals, 2010;527():59-64).
