For the first time in the history of the Armenian intellectual
teams the 'Perezagruzka' team achieved the final at the
"What? Where? When?" game's 8th world championship, held November
    11-14 in Eliat, Israel.

80 teams from 18 countries partook in the championship. Armenia
achieved the 6th place among those teams. The teams of Armenia partake
in such tournaments for the 5th time. This year 3 Armenian teams -
'Perezagruzka', DAF and 'Arsenal' - partook in the championship.

'Our main goal is to develop an intellectual movement in Armenia. It
is already 19 years I have been in this movement. I tend to unite the
intelligent young people of Armenia,' according to Tigran Kocharyan,
chairman of the Armenian Association of Intellectuals. He underscored
the importance of the assistance of the state and private organization
to the teams. RA Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan supported the Armenian
    teams as well.

Tigran Kocharyan said Armenian does not manage to achieve higher
ranks in the championship, as in order to achieve high points and
ranks Armenia must partake in all the intellectual games. He said
this is connected with some financial difficulties. He added that it
is impossible to partake in 40-50 festivals per annum.

Margar Sedrakyan, head of development programs, spoke on the Individual
Championship and said that the best players are being selected for that
competition. 'From the 600 players only 64 ones got the opportunity
to partake in the next round: 7 of them are Armenians.

We can be proud of this,' he said.

The annual 'Prime Minister's Cup', in which teams of Armenia's
ministries partake, is intended to be held December. Artsakh and Gyumri
have their teams of "What? Where? When?" game as well. The speakers
said they intend to organize an all-Armenian tournament in the future.
