"ELBAT" BATTERY FACTORY OPENS

YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 23, ARMENPRESS: "Elbat" battery factory opened today
at the presence of Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan. Chairman of the
Board of Directors of the factory Samvel Abrahamyan said the factory
is able to produce 300 000 from 25 to 210 ampere batteries annually
for all kinds of vehicles. "Our products are of high-quality, we have
European high-level laboratory equipped with all the necessary devices
and technology," he said, adding that the factory has high-quality
staff who were trained by high-quality European specialists. The
average salary of the employees is 206 000 AMD. Samvel Abrahamyan
said currently the factory has 145 employees and soon their number
will reach 170.
The president walked across the factory, got acquainted with the
production opportunities and powers.
The technical director of the factory Hakob Hakobyan said after
studying the Armenian market in 2007 a business plan was worked out
and in 2008 the reconstruction of the old factory started and ended in
2009. Afterward, the newest equipments were brought from 13 European
countries - Italy, Germany, Austria, etc.
Armenian vice prime minister, territorial administration minister
Armen Gevorgyan, economy minister Nerses Yeritsyan and Yerevan mayor
Gagik Beglaryan were present at the event.
