Ambassador of Norway to Armenia Knut Hauge (residence in Moscow)
was in Armenia November 23 to personally see the Wings of Tatev -
world's longest ropeway set Guinness World Record. Manager of the
ropeway Tigran Ghazaryan made the ambassador acquainted with the work
of the ropeway.
The ambassador and people accompanying him reached Tatev from Halidzor
by the ropeway. Last time the high-ranking guest was in Armenia and
in Tatev 10 years ago. He noted that many things have changed. The
ambassador was astonished at nature, which he considered very
important in development of tourism. "One can see suchlike ropeways
in the Central Europe, but the main difference is in the site, which
is unique and will provide a big flow of tourists," he siad.
