NKR PRIME MINISTER MEETS WITH STUDENTS OF ECONOMICS FACULTY OF ARTSAKH STATE UNIVERSITY

STEPANAKERT, SEPTEMBER 30, ARMENPRESS: Prime Minister of the Nagorno
Karabakh Republic Ara Harutyunyan met September 29 with the students
of the economics faculty of the Artsakh State University, for who he
delivered a lecture on the theme of "The Global Financial and Economic
Crisis and the Nagorno Karabakh Republic". NKR press service told
Armenpress during the meeting the Prime Minister noted that last year,
in a difficult period for the world, small Artsakh managed to register
13 % economic growth. The head of the government presented to students
the indexes registered according to spheres and the productivity of
state programs.
"If in 2002 GDP of 24-25 billon AMD was registered, in 2009 it was
more than 100 billon AMD and in 2010 it is intended to reach 115
billion. Every effort is exerted to increase the volume of the GDP
year by year, for the degree of our welfare depends on that," Mr.
Harutyunyan said.
After the lecture, which lasted over 2 hours, the students had the
opportunity to address to the prime minister the questions that
excited them and to get answers.
At the end Mr. Harutyunyan announced a contest between the students
on the theme of "The Future of Artsakh Economy", promising that the
best works will be awarded by the NKR prime misniter.
