"FESTIVAL OF KNOWLEDGE" IN YEREVAN

YEREVAN, OCTOBER 5, ARMENPRESS: "Festival of Knowledge: Yerevan 2010"
launched today at the RA National Academy of Sciences under the slogan
"Toward Green Economy". It will last until October 8. The festival
is being carried out within the framework of "Restoring Energy Week"
2d international conference. Schoolchildren, teachers, young people
and adults were invited to the event.
Director of the RA NAS Ecologonosphere Researches center Arman
Saghatelyan said that the event will promote the formation of conscious
among the gathered that the public cannot develop without science
and science is being formed and developed in the public.
"There is no sphere that may develop without science," he said, adding
that the children gathered here decide in future to enter the sphere
of science.
The main goals of the event is to maximum socialize science make it
publicly available. "The prospects of development of each public is
connected with science and development of each person with knowledge,"
president of NAS Radik Martirosyan said, adding that the science
itself needs to develop in respect of approaches and methods which
ensures its progress.
The row of events of "Festival of Knowledge" launched in 2000 from
Great Britain and spread in a number of other countries including
Germany, France and the USA.
