Heritage party MP Anahit Bakhshyan appealed to the Ministry of Natural
Protection referring to a complaint filed by the residents of Charbakh
district of Yerevan. The local residents complained about stench from
atmospheric emission of Shokh vegetable oil factory.
The Ministry conducted additional research and found out that the
company had suspended production since September 18.
On October 11, the Ministry gave instructions for the company to
install additional equipment starting November 1 to reduce emissions
and then resume production.
The owner of Shokh vegetable oil factory is Armenian MP, oligarch
Samvel Aleksanyan (Lfik Samo).
