YEREVAN, OCTOBER 18, ARMENPRESS: The fact that the Azerbaijani state
as well as its name for the first time appeared on the map in 1918
does not justify the "disastrous" ignorance of the history of the
region and funny ambitions toward the territories of Armenia and
Nagorno Karabakh, deputy foreign minister Shavarsh Kocharyan said
commenting on the recent statement of the Azerbaijani president over
the territorial ambitions of Armenia and Artsakh.
"If there were prizes for exclusive achievements in the field of
attempts to pervert history and international right, the Azerbaijani
president would not have an equal rival," the deputy minister said.
