Azerbaijanis in the U.S. are trying to prevent PBS from screening of
a documentary about the Nagorno Karabakh. They insists that the film
"distorts the conflict story."
PBS will air the award-winning "A Story of People in War and Peace"
documentary on October 24.
The film directed by Vardan Hovhannisyan is a portrayal of life in
the trenches for Armenian soldiers and medics struggling to defend
their homeland.
The film screened on BBC, ARTE and other international channels, has
won over 20 awards, including the FIPRESCI (International Federation
of Film Critics) prize and Best New Documentary Filmmaker Prize at
the Tribeca Film Festival in New York.
