Regional states are capable of meeting all their needs and safeguarding
security of the region through expansion of bilateral ties, President
Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said Tuesday.
He made the remarks while meeting the visiting Prime Minister of
Armenia Tigran Sargsian who is currently in the Iranian capital to
discuss issues of mutual interest with senior officials of the country.
President Ahmadinejad said: "Tehran and Yerevan enjoyed positive and
progressing ties, sharing common views to boost bilateral cooperation
in all fields.
The President stressed: 'The more expanded bilateral cooperation of
the regional states, the more standing would become their mutual ties.'
He added that regional states could restore lasting peace and security
in the region by expansion of all-out relations.
Meanwhile, the Armenian prime minister said that the two capitals
enjoyed enough grounds to boost bilateral economic ties up to the
level of their political relations.
