GMs Zaven Andriasian and Hrant Melkumyan scored 7 points each out of
9 and shared the 1st-6th places in the rapid tournament which was held
within the frameworks of Chigorin Memorial in Saint-Petersburg, Russia.
The six winners took the following places in the tie-break: 1. GM Yudin
(Russia), 2. GM Andriasian (Armenia), 3. GM Lafuente (Argentina), 4. GM
Vorobiov (Russia), 5. GM Gasanov (Ukraine), 6. GM Melkumyan (Armenia).
Today the main tournament of the Chigorin Memorial starts with the
