N. ZOHRABYAN: ASTRAKHAN DECLARATION IS OF GREAT SIGNIFICANCE

"Astrakhan declaration has important humanitarian significance, which
is extremely necessary for the Azerbaijani political elite. The fact
that the declaration referred to Madrid principles is also of great
significance, which is a sort of call to the Azerbaijani political
elite headed by Aliyev to restrain from war threats," NA Deputy,
member of Prosperous Armenia Party Naira Zohrabyan told Panorama.am.
According to NA Deputy the statement is important since agreement
has been made over the return of the hostages and the bodies.
"To be frank, I don't think Azerbaijan's President will respect the
agreement, since we have lots of precedents. Ilham Aliyev put his
signature on Meindorf declaration but he didn't keep that, it didn't
restrain him from making war statements. He increased the military
budget having intention to settle Karabakh conflict through war,"
the deputy said.
