On October 28, EXPO-RUSSIA ARMENIA 2010 exhibition opened in Yerevan.
Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan, leader of Prosperous Armenia Party
Gagik Tsarukyan, Russian Ambassador to Armenia Vyacheslav Kovalenko, as
well as other officials and businessmen attended the opening ceremony.
In his written address to the participants Russian Foreign Minister
Sergey Lavrov stressed that annual forum is to develop direct contacts
between businessmen of two countries. "Such events as EXPO-RUSSIA
ARMENIA 2010 are natural for partner relations between our states
that are characterized by developing cooperation in all fields,"
the message says.
Talking to NEWS.am, organizer of EXPO-RUSSIA ARMENIA 2010 David
Vardanov noted forum-exhibition has acquired greater importance
within recent 3 years. "Presence of Armenian President indicates its
significance, as well as authorities' attention to businessmen," he
said, adding that the number of participating companies, especially
Russian ones, has increased as well.
