The Astrakhan meeting aimed to relieve the tension that resulted from
Aliyev's bellicose statements and incidents at the line of contact,
Head of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation (ARF) Bureau's Hay Dat
and Political Affairs Office Kiro Manoyan told a press conference
today.
According to him, the meeting did not give more than this and could
not give because of the position of Azerbaijan, which does not see
Karabakh outside Azerbaijan's jurisdiction.
Kiro Manoyan does not think any documents will be signed during
the OSCE summit in Astana. "The more the Presidents meet, the less
possibility of resumption of military actions. Anyway, it's better
just to meet than not to meet at all," he stated.
