Armenia
De facto Armenia has recognized NKR independence long ago, but de
jure recognition is not yet convenient, OYP parliamentary faction
member Hovhannes Margaryan told a press conference. He said his party
shares the opinion of their coalition partners that recognition of
NKR by Armenia can have a negative impact on the process of Nagorno
Karabakh settlement. Meanwhile, according to him, OYP has always
supported the process of NKR's international recognition.
According to the speaker, "for us, recognition of NKR is not a goal
in itself. Recognition is not expedient at this phase of the talks."
Speaking about Azerbaijan's resolution submitted to UN General Assembly
the parliamentarian expressed the conviction that Baku will withdraw
the document.
