World famous Armenian economist Daron Acemoglu appeared in the center
of Turkish Government's attention.
According to "Ermenihaber.am" Turkish FM Ahmet Davutoglu invited him
to Turkey calling on to return and live there. Acemoglu ensured he
would be back soon.
He is currently the Charles P. Kindleberger Professor of Applied
Economics at Massachusetts Institute of Technology and winner of the
2005 John Bates Clark Medal. He is among the 20 most cited economists
in the world according to IDEAS/RePEc.
The economist of Armenian descent is invited to Turkey not only to
continue his scientific research but to take a responsible mission
there.
