ArmInfo. Russia has made it clear for Azerbaijan that it does not
want a new war in Nagorno-Karabakh, member of the Public Council of
the Defense Ministry of Armenia, military psychologist David Jamalyan
said during a press-conference today.
He said that Azerbaijan perfectly knows what this might mean and is
regularly attempting to create tensions on the border so as to change
the situation and to force the OSCE MG co-chair states to adopt other
solutions. Azerbaijan's acts of sabotage are part of its political
plans. I don't think that they may grow into a serious war but the
threat of war is still present," Jamalyan said.
In this light, he welcomes Armenia's position that priority in the
peace process must be given to the status of Nagorno-Karabakh.
