Pupils again clean up the park
Empty bottles, sacks, used injectors and condoms, different boxes... No,
this is not the description of Nubarashen scrap-heap it is the grove
that connects Mashtots Avenue with Saryan in the middle of Yerevan
city. This is where our children walk and play, and as Aysor.am turned
out try to clean the grove as much as possible.
This is the introduction of the article of Aysor.am issued on April
22, 2009. A year has passed while the scene is the same; the children
are cleaning the adults make dirty...
`The children walk through this park every day. It is awful. The
garbage is everywhere. This dirt bothers us too much. And as it is a
Saturday today, and we are working, we decided to clean up the park,'
said one of the teachers of to Aysor.am.
Around 250-300 schoolchildren were cleaning up the park. One of the
schoolchildren mentioned that yesterday during the lesson at school
they have spoken about the surrounding environment, and today they are
cleaning the park, for using their knowledge in practice.
`At first we should take care of the nature, and not pollute it. Today
we clean up the park polluted by the grownups, and hope that they will
see this and will keep the park clean for some time at least.'
