ARMENIAN-BELGIAN BUSINESS FORUM KICKS OFF

Yerevan is hosting Armenian-Belgian business forum. To strengthen the
trade economic cooperation and expand the business relations between
Armenia and Belgium the Belgian delegation arrived from Wallonia,
one of the leading states of Belgian Kingdom. The organizers of the
business visit are Armenian Development Agency and "ArmenWal" project,
which is implemented along with the close cooperation of UNIDO.
"ArmenWal" project implementation started in 2009 by AWEX agency
(Wallonia's Export and Investment Agency), Armenian Development Agency
and UNIDO (UN Industrial Development Organization) and Belgium Chamber
of Commerce. AWEX goal is to promote the business cooperation between
Armenians and Belgians, attract investment in Armenia and develop
new technologies.
Armenian Minister of Economy Nerses Yeritsyan, Ambassador Extraordinary
and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Belgium to Armenia Stephan de
Locker, General Director of Foreign Trade and Investment Agency of
Wallonia Philip Siunen attend the forum.
The economic cooperation and development prospective will be discussed
between the two countries. About 23 companies representing different
industrial sectors arrived from Belgium - virtual communication,
electronics and communication, fresh seafood, cereal products, animal
food, chocolate, lighting luminaries, engineering designs.
