Armenian reporters protested raising wooden crosses

The liturgy in Holy Church of Akhtamar kicked off. Proxy of Polis
Patriarchate Archbishop Aram Ateshyan serves the liturgy. As soon as
the liturgy started, Armenian reporters raised wooden crosses
demonstrating their protest against Turkish authorities' decision to
abandon the cross. This made the international media representatives
to Van get shocked. Our reporters didn't face any obstacles while
implementing their protest action, Panorama.am reporter tells from
    Akhtamar.

Some of the reporters were banned to make video inside the church.
Everything is under the control of National Security officers.
A great number of tourists are in the yard of the church and they
follow the liturgy via a screen put outside. Because of little place
inside of the church, many are banned to enter it.

Armenians who have changed their religion have also arrived in Holy
Cross. One of them told our reporter that he wants to contact with his
roots. Another Armenian from Mush served grapes.
