MELINE DALUZYAN BRINGS FIRST MEDAL FROM ANTALYA

Armenia won its first medal in the World Weightlifting Championship
shop held in Antalya, Turkey.
Europe~Rs double champion and a bronze winner of the World
Weightlifting Championship Meline Daluzyan (69kg) won the small bronze
medal by lifting 112 kg in the snatch exercise.
The small gold in the snatch exercise was won by Russian weightlifter
Svetlana Shimkova (116) and the silver went to Yu Kang (113), China.
In the jerk exercise Meline Daluzyan lifter 139kg again being the
third. In total she lifted 251kg and occupied the third place.
Yu Kang lifted 140 in jerk having a total of 253kg in both exercises.
So the title of the world~Rs champion was won by Svetlana Shimkova
who lifted a total of 256kg.
