HRANT DINK'S NIECE LUSIN DINK WILL MAKE A FILM ABOUT WILLIAM SAROYAN

Young filmmaker Lusin Dink, the niece of a famous journalist Hrant
Dink murdered by Turkish radicals, will create a Journey to Bitlis
film, featuring William Saroyan's trip to Bitlis in 1964.
The project of the film was announced a winner at Istanbul-hosted
Armenia-Turkey film platform on promotion of documentaries and awarded
with a prize of USD 30000 instituted by Eurasia Partnership Foundation.
Archive materials and photos will be used in a film drawing on
Saroyan's short stories, with a road to Bitlis to be used as film set.
Cooperation with Armenian animators in the course of film creation
is planned.
