ARMENIA TO IMPORT 400 CHINA-MANUFACTURED BUSES

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian delegation led by Yerevan Mayor Karen
Karapetyan had a working meeting with Beijing transport committee on
the sidelines a visit to China's capital.
At the meeting, Armenian delegation was briefed on China's strategy
and management in transport sector. The delegation, in turn, presented
reforms in Armenia's transport sector, offering Chinese partners to
participate in investment programs. Chinese side expressed readiness
to study the proposals as well as offer expertise in case of necessity.
Credit purchase of 400 China-manufactured buses was discussed with
the manufacturer locally.
Yerevan Mayor also met with the chairman of Huawei Technologies
telecommunications equipment company chairman to discuss opening of
Huawei Technologies center in Yerevan, as well as cooperation-related
issues.
A memorandum of understanding for implementation of joint activities
was signed.
Further, Beijing hosted a business committee session, with
representatives of private and state companies of China participating.
At the session, the delegation submitted 6 major investment programs
to be implemented in Armenia.
A visit to Beijing tourist center was also on Armenian delegation's
agenda, Yerevan Mayor's Office reported.
