PanARMENIAN.Net - At the ongoing Armenian National Congress (ANC)
rally in Yerevan, ANC coordinator Levon Zurabyan, who leads the
oppositional delegation at ANC-authorities talks, noted that
the authorities included on negotiations agenda the issue of the
establishment of democracy in Armenia through snap presidential and
parliamentary elections.
As he noted, people will be briefed on the results of negotiations,
with further activities to be decided on at rallies. According to
Zurabyan, the authorities are left with 2 options, "to either take a
sober view of the situation, realizing it's now time to give in; or,
yield when thousands of ANC supporters raise their voices in protest."
However, Zurabyan believes, the authorities will choose the 2nd option.
In conclusion, Zurabyan urged Armenian authorities against trying
people's patience. "The issue must be solved through a dialogue, or
else prepare for an unseen wave of protest in autumn," Zurabyan said.
