PASTORAL VISIT TO SINGAPORE BY REV FR NORAYR PATANIAN
Sydney, Australia - Reverend Father Norayr Patanian, long-serving priest
of the Armenian Apostolic Church of Holy Resurrection, made a pastoral
visit to the Armenian Community in Singapore from 22-27 July 2011 under
the patronage of His Eminence Archbishop Aghan Baliozian, Primate of the
Diocese of the Armenian Church of Australia and New Zealand.
Father Patanian was warmly welcomed by the small, close-knit community
who gathered together on the Saturday evening for a social occasion and
again on Sunday at the Armenian Apostolic Church of St Gregory the
Illuminator where the Reverend Father celebrated the Divine Liturgy.
Also present for the weekend were Armenians from Malaysia.
Father Patanian was accompanied to Singapore with his wife, Yeretsgin
Sonia.
The Armenian Apostolic Church of St Gregory the Illuminator is the
oldest church in Singapore and is located at 60 Hill Street Singapore.
