BREASTFEEDING SEEN EFFECTIVE MEANS AGAINST ALLERGIES

Breastfeeding and proper treatment of skin wounds are the only ways to
combat allergies in young children and infants, Astghik Baghdasrayan,
a pediatrician and allergist from Arabkir joint medical center has
told reporters.
Speaking at a news conference on Saturday, Astghik Baghdasaryan said
one in three children suffers from some form of allergy nowadays,
with such rate having a tendency of growth by 2015.
"There is a hypothesis that a contact with microbes since early ages
contributes to the right development of the child but this is not
an ultimate theory. The only preventive means is breastfeeding and
proper treatment of skin wounds," she said.
The specialist stressed the importance of turning to doctors in time
to facilitate further treatment.
