The article says that former political prisoner Sargis Hatspanyan met
Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan and discussed his citizenship
in Armenia.
"Mrs. Hakobyan said that she will raise the issue at the upcoming
cabinet meeting and will try to understand through talking to the
authorities what the problem is that they refuse [him citizenship],
and will respond me," the paper quoted Hatspanyan as saying.
Further, the paper claims that Hranush Hakobyan urged Hatspanyan not to
be pessimistic about the issue, adding that everything will be settled.
According to Hatspanyan, the minister also stated with pain that a
Diasporan Armenian is having problems with citizenship in the homeland.
